In Indestructo Tank you pilot a tank that cannot be destroyed. That may seem redundant, but it is critical to the game. You are battling a bunch of unnamed yet nefarious enemies in the form of helicopters, bombers and miners. When you hit them, you bounce up in the air.
You have three buttons you need to worry about. Right, left and up. Right and left move you right and left (you Southpaws can use A and S). Up makes you jump. Of course, your boom bar has to be filled for you to jump, which is done by stomping on bad guys. When you run into a bad guy, you get launched up into the air. If you run into another vehicle or a bomb while in the air, you get launched further. For each consecutive bad guy that you land on without hitting the ground, you get points.
Points build up until you level up. Leveling up is critical in this game. See, your major limiter is your fuel supply, and leveling up replenishes this supply. In addition, you spend points to up the frequency that the bad guys appear, boosting your combos.
The game ends when you run out of fuel, period.
This is a surprisingly well balanced game. It took me a while to get the hang of it. Bombs are good. Running into things is good. You want to bounce from side to side. If there is one thing, it is that this game may lead to repetitive stress problems in your hands. No joke, I was mashing buttons the entire time. My right hand feels worse than the time I bet my friends I could karate chop my coffee table.
You would think that a game where you have an indestructible tank would not be that much fun, but man is it a blast to bounce off of helicopters and see their occupants parachute out.
Great game. Addictive but not frustrating. Well worth the time invested in it.
