I gotten an idea for a map that would be small to speed up fast games while still being fun. I decided to post my updates here of my progress with the map.

What's planned currently

I want the map to still retain the look of Europe however I will have to cut some nations off so it may have to be know as the Mediterranean map

10 nations with each of them being balanced but yet the map still feels open.

Enough resources to build troops but scarce enough to make trading important and to stop mass production of troops.

The curse of an unbalanced Iberia followed me to this map as well. At least Greece and Samaritans are at the target goal.

Last update tonight with the map. Currently just doing ai balancing before I get more advanced into assets with certain countries which will take the most work. A lot more positive results across the board except for Illyria being at 1% win rate and Gaul and Egypt at 5%. Iberian's are closer to the target goal however the Samaritans jumped up majorly.

I hoping to use this map for fast games. here is some stats for the map

the size is 25% smaller then the Ancient Europe map

Ancient Europe has 48 towns while this map employs 38 towns currently

I have most of the towns connected by roads to make troops move faster around the map. Now being satisfied on how the map generally looks, I'll turn to balancing. I noticed with a lot of my ai runs the ai pretty much does the same thing at the start of the game with ai like Rome always going after Illyria.

How do I remove food. Do I need to remove the farms I put down? I used the Ancient Europe config with its expansions, so I don't think that affected it or was it for the wrong config I used earlier but tried to cover it up? I thought about submitting the map tomorrow for early beta testing.

There shouldn't be any food in there if you use the regular files. However, if you used the "legacy.zip", there is food. I don't think you can't remove it.

Because I started with the wrong config. I don't see how to remove it so ig ill have to remake the whole thing on a new map to remove the food.

Got the whole map renewed banana I just now need to do little tedious touch ups and small detail/technical stuff. The map should be uploaded before this weekend :kg:

Well looks Like the map is now published :roll:
I will add updates to it if any problems are found with it but hopefully everything is in order
