AoC Convention in Chicago, Il.? Do I drive for 12 hours or get **** probed by the airlines?? Decisions, decisions.... What's the best season for tourists to sight see, etc. in Chicago?

Happy 4th everyone! Police prevented me from firing off all my fireworks. I got a couple hundred dollars in fireworks left over. :-( I guess I'll save then for next year.

Anytime is a good time, but for stuff that's outdoors, spring/summer/early fall is a good time. Just be warned that summer can be very humid, which can make the heat worse. Even at night, the humidity holds onto the heat, so nights can be pretty warm (some nights, you can't sleep without A/C).

You should set off your fireworks when your neighbors are doing it as well. I had at least 3 other neighbors within a block from me that were setting theirs off as well (I couldn't tell if there were more due to all the trees. Same thing at my friends house on the night of the 3rd. We had the town fireworks show on one side and various neighbors all around us setting theirs off as well. As long as the cops don't see us doing it, we're pretty much left alone.
