The game is still abandoned, but I figured it might be nice to create a trailer to explain how that ole game actually worked :)

Pretty cool. I could see it run real-time like simcity or more turn-based like AOC.

I would love to see this turn into a turn-based style game like AOC. It is about all the time I have for gaming most of the time but would also allow blitz play.

An interesting mechanism would be to have everybody play on the same city like Capitalism2 but have people bid for excess material produced. each turn the total amount of excess material would be split amongst the bidders based on a supply/demand calculation. This would cause the players to try to calculate which materials will be in highest demand but you won't really know until the turn ends.

I think the balancing would be quite difficult but it would be pretty interesting when it is done.

I would be willing to work on a simple tech tree and of course play testing.
