I choose to never fully understand what TCP/IP stands for because I'm positive, without even understanding it, that it's an overly complicated way of saying something simple! Try enlightening THAT fodder! ;)

:applaus: A challenge. Very well. The solution to this particular question is to know the person who is asking it. From the very little I know about you lucjan. I would have to say, that you challenged me in order to play devil's advocate.
So, now I have to ask. I am right or wrong?
If I apply this same question to the general public. Then I would say, most people who aren't interested in something, will choose to not care or fully understand it because they believe they will never need to know it. Therefore, they simplify it down to something more common and easier to recall. I know for one, that I do this all the time. Unfortunately, having taken a networking class in college among other reasons. I had to know these things.

EDIT - Oh, and Benda, is that game multiplayer?

I assume you're talking about Commander: Europe at war.

yes it is, while it has a fairly good AI. Against humans you can have PBEM (play by email), Hotseat, and TCPIP (not sure what that stands for). The only one I've tried is PBEM which works fairly well.

I have this game if you're still playing it benda. Or if lucjan ever got it we could all play? I haven't played it much so I'd **** at it.

I still play it. Most of my opponents have gone AWOL so I'd be up for for a game as either side if you want.

It's 2 player so we'd each play both other people presumably.

I am, above all, a poker player. I prefer NL texas hold 'em and PL omaha hi-lo, but I've been seen at some stud tables from time to time.

As far as strategy games I've never played an online game before. I was always a big fan of CIV II & III (not so much 4, they strayed too far from a great system) and the older Total War games (Medieval and Rome).

I'm also enjoy fantasy sports-I'm looking forward to my first fantasy football season in about 5 years. For the other sports fans, I highly recommend the Sports Mogul games. They are baseball and football simulators and if any of you are into SABRmetrics or are just a stat nerd like me-you'll love these games. I've only played the solo version, but I'll almost definetly take the online plunge soon.

For board gamers, I haven't played that many. I'd love to get into Catan, Risk, or Axis and Allies; but my friends and I have never gotten into board games. Lately I have been playing Creationary, though, which is lots of fun.

I live in Connecticut and if anyone's looking for one more for anything NOT creepy, PM or post here. Maybe two or three even, my neighbor will probably be into a new game and my wife might be persuaded if it's not too intense-she can get very competitive.

Call of gods @ lekool is proud to announce the launch of its newest server, "Fortuna"!

come and play!

I have always been a fan of browser-based strategy game, and I’m enjoying playing Call of Gods. Castle building, turn-based combat, dungeon exploration, arena challenge and deploy of units can really melt into an enjoyable gameplay. You name it... play it!

Hey, I helped make a game and would love to hear what you think! It's called StreetCrowd (http://streetcrowd.us) and it's a collaborative multiplayer game. Playing a game takes about 10 minutes: you find yourself in a Street View and you have to explore and figure out where in the world you are. Then, you work together with your team to put together all the clues you found.

Give it a try and let us know what you think! If there aren't enough people online to play with, consider sharing with your friends.
