Perhaps not what you are asking for but I thought I would put it out here all the same. I have several board games, war and space combat in various degrees of design. I also took the computer game: "Dungeon Keeper" and converted it into a board game. The only game I came close to getting a patent for but didn't. Was a card game I designed, that I call: "The Great Pyramid". It uses special cards. I also decided to map those cards to a standard playing deck of cards, just to see what it would look like. I even attempted some poor art work for the cards. None of these game were really meant to be published. I was just having some creative fun, as a hobby. Since they are not computer games. i have no screen shots to show. :(

At the moment I'm addicted to Commander: Europe at War which I found from the Java game tome.

DungeonKeeper was cute.

I'm also a fan of boardgames. Especially the old AH/SPI variety. Some of my favorites are Tobruk, Advanced Squad Leader, Advanced 3rd Reich, and the all-time diceless classics like Kriegspiel and Diplomacy. The original Star Fleet Battles was cool as well, it absorbed several of the best years of my life, as did the mega-SPI classic War in Europe. I also like the Milton Bradley miniature series that included Axis & Allies and Fortress America.

For computer games I go more for the turn-based strategy types. I've played probably all the Civ variants starting with the original. I'm a big fan of the Total War series (with real-time battles). I also liked several of the Paradox games based on the Europa Universalis engine. It's real time but has more of a strategy feel to it, making it more like a turn-based game. It's certainly no clickfest like most of the games that call themselves RTS.

Definitely, let's get WW in here, he's a big time board game player.

I'm also feeling the urge to see if we couldn't somehow set up a play-by-e-mail (or post) of one of these games? :^^:

The only board games I play are monopoly and my dad's old simple hex-based game of the battle of waterloo (he has other battles but they're all missing pieces :( )

Stratego, Trouble, Risk, Electronic NFL Football, Chess, Chinese Checkers, Checkers, Life, Billionaire, Toss-a-Cross, Hockey, and Fire-a-Cross or was it called shoot-a-cross, plus other games were all handed down to my brother when I went off to college. If I go home, I guess I could ask my mother what happened to those games.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and take a wild guess -- you're not married, are you fodder? Probably don't have a girlfriend at the moment either, am I right?
