I'm starting to like the suicide tactic
Your in a game where you know your cactus so pick an ally, whos been an ally and you run your King right into him/her/it.
Screws over those folks who were going to get your lands and helps your ally get tougher.
Course you have to be a glass is half empty kind of guy and not care about your ranking but I've done it twice now and will probably do it again.
Ideally if your ally and your opponent are allied they lose all their moves and have troops in bad areas

Thats a good option so you wont see your kingdon crushed down by a strong oponent, just give all of it to your allie. I already used once

Only time I would even consider this is if I knew I was doomed and wanted to deny my invader the satisfaction of capturing me.

Haven't done it yet. Probably never will. If someone defeats me honorably in battle, they deserve their victory and I won't deny them. Only if they use subterfuge or dishonorable means will I resort to such tactics.

BTW azzab in the game you did it into me, I would have won on the same turn without your territories. I had my 70 and re-established my alliance with Shera so it was over anyway. I would have sent you an in-game message saying so but it would have arrived too late. I don't mean to rub salt or anything, but just so you know.

I've done it several times. When I get ganked/am in a war I can't win I'll try and get a few alliances, cheap, I know, and then get my king to my nearest ally/best ally.

Ditto. A few of the Pondsters have done it over time.

Although I wasnt toast when i did my first and second ranked games I suicided into Wart in early on because I couldnt be **** with the long turn time. I regret it to this day as both games got me 0 points.

Oh?! I dont think I have ever read a post about it being deleted then again im often half cut when I do browse DDL these days. Its the best way to read 90% of the drivel thats been posted there (in the Mass Debating section i mean not the other forums) in the last 6 months.

I tried this strategy. I was playing as Austria and was being attack by a far more powerfull England. After a few turns of futile defense I decided that I would not hold out much longer so I sent my king into my ally (next to me). Then the next turn as I spent my remaining money on defense for my remaining chunk of land I sent him a message saying that the land was a gift for being a good ally. Unfortunately I just logged on and without a reply my ally opted to cancel are alliance as it appears that he just wants me out of the game. Worst of all, I was already being attacked by one person from land and one from the sea :( :hilfe:

Needless to say, I don't think that this strategy is for me.
