a report button would be great!!! though it's easy enuf to contact us here at the hub, contacting a mod in-game seems much more efficient and 'user-friendly' :partyyy:

I guess it could/should be done via the new private messaging system in the game? I could generate a list of all the admins in the game, so players could contact the admins directly via private messaging.

I figured a [Report] button that comes up for each player which when pressed brings up a list of all the admins available that can be contacted?

Open for suggestion!

Instead of individually msg'ing the admins, why not have the Report button msg all admins. Then this player can be discussed wherever the investigators do such discussions.

Yes, I could send a message to all the admins!? Would that be a good suggestion?

There would also need to be a button for the admin that takes care of it to click that sends a message to the rest that the issue has been taken care of...

It seems to me that all you need is to do is list everyone under the:
i (information) -> Credit/Crew
Example:
Investigators (report suspected cheaters) For more info
    fodder (lead investigator)
    KingHowardII (investigator)

Where "report suspected cheaters" is a link (button) to message all investigators and fodder and KingHowardII are links to message the individual. And "For more info" can be a link to the Investigator's section of the forum.

This can then be done with the moderators and game designer.
How does that sound?

i don't think the Investigator's Forum is publicly accessible, link to this thread - "HOW TO report suspected cheaters" :partyyy:

perhaps we should update the guidelines for reporting suspected cheaters as well? then post them here, and lock the topic? i say lock it - so peeps can't spam the thread (like we're doing now), thereby forcing a player to dig through however many pages this thread contains to find the actual guidelines ;)

Question when you say it's not publicly available do you mean they can't read it or can't write to it or both? I was under the assumption that they could read it but couldn't post to it or am I wrong?

Alright, here are the new rules to identify cheaters.

* Do NOT post in the forums if you suspect someone of cheating! Please PM (=private message) one of the investigators (=Lucjan, Risen, Adame11 (or if you can't (?) Chris, Bolder or me)). They will then investigate and post the results publicly if necessary. This will prevent people from falsely being accused.
* Also, even if nobody is PMing them, I go investigate fraud from time to time!
* Some people suicide into one another. It does NOT automatically mean that someone is cheating. Also, if I send someone "gold", it does not mean I am a cheater either ...
* It can also be that two people who are friends play together, so be absolutely sure they're the same person, not a bunch of friends who aren't a clan

Note: Please don't send me a PM everytime you see someone suiciding. Make sure it happens in other games too ...

ALMSSTAn I don't know what your point is in posting this? You cut and pasted an old rule with no comment about it. When Stig wrote this the game wasn't even called Age of Conquest. This is very old and outdated. As new version of the game come out and rules get slightly alter to conform to what can and can not be done in the new version. When AoC IV comes out this year, the rules will then be adopted to the new version or format for playing it.
