Scheduled for implementation: After map editor completion!

Alliances:
-Still prevent attacks, in the same way as now
-other benefits all start to kick in from the end of the turn in which the treaty's accepted.
-Intel: troop deployments in the ally's regions become visible over time. 10% of the ally's regions are revealed for each turn that the alliance lasts. i.e. after 10 turns all of the ally's lands are visible.
-Trade: Trade income is gained as a bonus on income turns, and is based on the ally's net income (raw income-county spending & upkeep) for that turn. The bonus is equal to 1% of the ally's net income, multiplied by the number of turns that the alliance has been in force. Capped at 25%.
-VPs: Each of the ally's regions are worth 0.02 VPs, multiplied by the number of turns that the treaty has been in force. Capped at 0.5 per region.

NAPs:
-Still prevent attacks, in the same way as now
-Trade: As for alliances but capped at 10%
-VPs: As for alliances but capped at 0.1 per region

Altering treaties:
-Alliances can be downgraded to NAPs without the ally's consent, however the ally should get an option to not accept the NAP in which case the two nations no longer have any kind of treaty. i.e. the jist of message would be something along the lines of "ally X has cancelled their alliance with you but offered a NAP in it's place, are you willing to accept".
-When an alliance is downgraded to NAP, intel information is lost, & the NAP caps applied to trade and VP bonuses.
-If the Trade and VP bonuses are currently higher than the NAP caps they are reduced to this level from the end of the turn in which the alliance was downgraded.
-If the Trade & VP bonuses are lower than the NAP cap then they are retained at their current level and continue to grow as per a normal NAP.
-If the ally refuses to accept a NAP when the alliance is cancelled, all benefits are lost from the end of that turn.

If two NAPed nations agree to an alliance:
-Intel information starts to become available as per any new alliance.
-Trade & VP bonuses are retained at their current levels and continue to grow towards the alliance caps.

-If two nations go from having an alliance or NAP to having no treaty, then all benefits are lost from the end of the turn in which the treaty was cancelled.
