I think it is time to show the progress on my project: "Age of Galactic Conquest"
The action is taking place in our Milky Way Galaxy.
It uses some modifications in bundle.config file, that make the maps work and more enjoyable.
The bundle will contain multiple scenarios (such as: Galaxy Colonization a.ka. "The Beginning", Independency of Colonies, Galactic Civil War and many more), including a "tutorial" scenario which will guide You through the changes in bundle.config (building costs, effects etc.)

For now, I can show the overall map:

And a small preview of land division system (the borders will have a different colour):

*notes to the second photo:
1.the "outposts" (land that is not a part of a planet) will get their own images too, and improved border shapes - the showed ones are used just for testing purposes.
2.The long and narrow space areas ("communication paths") are not connected to the smaller space zones

No estimated release date yet, but I hope I can release it before the end of this year.

P.S.: This is inspired a bit, yet NOT related in any way to Star Wars universe

BTW i got a question, are you thinking of changing how buildings, ships and troops look to match the futuristic theme?

Also, correct me if i am wrong, but are those sea provinces overlapping land provinces or vice versa? I might be wrong, but i think they shouldnt...

Of course, I have it in the plans, don't worry :) .The thing is, that I first want to make sure the scenario works (province size limits etc.) , and then I can draw up some graphics to them. I think that human soldiers' appearance should not be changed, but waterships will be retextured into spaceships

You are right, the "planets" are on top of the "orbits"/"planet spacial zones". Technically speaking, the planets are islands accesible from only one water tile. I believe this is a good solution, as traveling in the faster routes (involving passing by planet's orbit) would be way more difficult if all planets had many spacial areas, and making the less known space regions harder to move by would make no sense.

Looking from the warfare side, one spacial zone forces the planet owner to choose whether to put a strong defense in the orbit, or to defend the planet itself - remember that planets have at least two zones. If there were many spacial zones around one planet, it would be obvious to defend the planet only, as the spacial areas are a lot easier to conquer

Hello there!
I was working on the project until now, despite of no updates

Progress updates:
    a) Drawed most of the provinces (only Outer Rim left)
    b) In the meantime I've also drawed up basic soldier unit. Here is the effect:

And a small preview in-game:

Still have no idea when exactly it will be finished, but It will be out eventually :)
