I've made a map that is a collection of scenarios for the British Isles. The scenarios cover the Roman Withdrawl from Britain, Viking Settlement, Norman Invasion, and modern divisions. All but the Roman maps have two versions - one in which each empire starts with a single province, and a second one with historical borders that create imbalanced empires.

I would like to see this map eventually included in AOC ONLINE for Android, and so I kept the map smaller than the Asian map that Noblemaster made.

I am interested in testing and feedback, so that the map and scenarios might be improved in the hopes of inclusion in a future update.

This map is called British Isles SCENARIOS. The version named "British Isles" is an older version that would not be compatible with Android phones. Please make sure you have the latest version before testing.

Thanks!

Antaine

Create some test games for players to join.
Then announce the games here with an invite to players to help test them.

If the games are unrated and at least 1 day turn mode or longer, I join one of them.

Alright, I have made three games to test some of the new scenarios. They are called:

Roman Withdrawal [test]
Viking Settlement [test]
Norman Invasion [test]

I relisted the scenarios with different names. You will see that they all say "British Isles" in the title. I took out the word "test" because I was afraid that it was discouraging people from joining.

I couldn't find any of the games. I had assumed you created them in the mobile realm. If so have they already started? If not then which realm did you create them in?

No, they use new maps, and so they can't be played on mobile until Noblemaster includes them in an update. I put them in Standard. There are four of them in total: Modern British Isles, British Isles AD410, British Isles AD793, and British Isles AD1066. None of them have started yet.

Okay, thanks. I joined one of them.

Off hand without having played it, it appears Europe throws the balance of the map off.

Item #2
I'm glad to see you kept the sea lanes small since it's a very small map. However, some sea lanes appear to be 0 or 1 in length making travel by land the better way to go. In addition when sea lanes are that short you're stuck being able to reach 1 or maybe 2 players. Kind of limited I would at least make the sea lanes have a range of 2 and maybe a make some of the sea ports more strategical important.

Item #3
The starting positions don't appear to be balanced. Clearly some positions have advantages over others and a couple of them are really at a disadvantage making them undesirable. At least for the Roman Withdraw scenario.

Thanks! Can you be more specific about the disadvantages?

Well, the Britons, Saxons and Angles are very close together potentially putting then at war within turn 2 or 3. This means they will be weaker in the later stages of the game. The other 3 kingdoms can expand and grab more land giving them a distinct advantage over the three mentioned kingdoms. Hence I would not choose to join the Britons, Saxons or Angles unless I'm looking to get beat up and most people aren't looking for that.
