For what it is worth, the MiddleEarth map is out there and ready for consumption. Many thanks to TravisII for helping to troubleshoot and evaluate the map.

about the scenario
I may be not a Middle Earth guru, but :
the only one kingdom I'm sure that get one of 9 rings is of course Angmar
Gondor never get one of them and Rohan hadn't existed yet

maybe Dale, Esgaroth, some of the little lands ??

Dwarves: Erebor- the lonely mountain, Iron Hills, Moria, Ered Luin -Blue Mountains (x2) ??

Elves: Rivendell and Lorien - yes, but not Grey Elves from the Mirkwood - Cirdan from Grey Havens (later the ring got Gandaf)

PS. could you email me the original map file ??
not the game file but just the image one

Fiederhorf,
Great suggestions. I have yet to create a scenario for the Rings, currently doing a little research myself (actually having my daughter work on it) and your ideas are welcomed. The Ring scenario will encompass at least 19 players.

well, your welcome :)
I would make the research myself (I own all the books)
but currently I'm working on my MBA :headbash:

of course if something would call to my mind, I'll let you know
and I'd be happy to cooperate with you about that map

I have got another great book - Atlas of Middle-Earth by Karen Wynn Fonstad

I found three maps you can find useful
tried to send you them by email but something was wrong with server

Middle-Earth at the end of Second Age - before the Last Alliance

Middle-Earth in the Third Age - between the Last Alliance and the War of the Ring

Middle-Earth in the Fourth Age - after the second Defeat of Sauron

I hope that will help you somehow

Sounds like a cool book. Can the maps be used from it (public domain)? or are they copyrighted?

well, if you really need to know:
Copyright © 1991 by Karen Wynn Fonstad

For information about permission to reproduce selections
from this book, write to Permissions, Houghton Mifflin
Company, 2 Park Street, Boston, Massachusetts 02108.

as for me - I don't see a problem with using these maps for creating scenarios
but maybe Im wrong ?? we Polish are known for our lack of respect for copy rights :kg:

Unfortunately, the game creator works/lives in the USA and he needs to abide by any copyrights. Any images used for making maps will either need permission from the copyright holder or they'll need to be copyright free.
