i had a program that allows generation of pics like that but could never find a map that could be implimented (by me) easy, 64 provinces, maybe a contender for the player league?

Thanks guys. I will send the map to the boss as soon as I can.
I found the image here (gough island):

http://gough.sanap.org.za/

I wish I could create new maps with a 3d-tool/earth generator program, but I really don't have time to learn how to do it and then do it :barb:

Have a nice sunday

:pal:

If u own a Mac u might wanna look for software called Bryce. I used it in OS 9 a lot (yes i had game developing ambitions myself at one point). I think it still exists for OS X. I have no PC clue whatsoever. Bryce turns black and white 2D pics into 3D landscapes. Dark areas r low and the lighter the area is the higher the terrain will be raised. This makes for a smooth 3D rendering of any B&W pic. This way u can even use ur own portrait as the map. Imagine fighting a battle on ur very own face. Or anyone elses of course.:censored:

I like this kind of map a lot. It makes clear why certain borders would be unpassable due to the specific terrain (mountain range , abyss, etc) For instance: imagine what this kind of rendering would do to the AOurth map.

:^^:
